‘Välkommen Hem’ is the utterly gorge title track from last year’s Christmas album by the utterly gorge EMD!
Released as a single to raise money for the Swedish homeless charity, Stadsmissionen, it charted at number 3 in the Swedish singles chart. The album however, was chart ineligible, as it was stocked exclusively at ICA stores, although it still managed to go on and sell 160,000 copies – quite a marvellous amount for a country as small as Sweden, especially with record sales as low as they are these days.
The song is a beautiful ballad, first released by Magnus Carlsson on his 2006 Christmas album, ‘Spår I Snön’. And the below performance just adds to the beauty of it, as it’s backed by a live orchestra, and being watched by the Swedish King and Queen!
