The utterly brilliant Pay TV performed a comeback gig in Gothenburg at the weekend. The three ladies gave us all too little a glimpse of their potential in the middle of the last decade, with fantastic tongue in cheek pop songs like ‘Refrain Refrain’, ‘Trendy Discotheque’, and ‘Fashion Report’. But even though their lyrics were satirical, the songs were always of a top pop standard, which is why we miss them so.
It’s all been very quiet for the girls for the last five years, but they finally made a rare appearance last weekend. We don’t know if their gig will lead to even more shows, or even better – more music, but for now we’re gonna dream anyway. And here are some pics from the night in question;
