You surely must remember these Majestee of Sweden folk from when we wrote, ranted, and raved about their mega debut single back in April this year – ‘Governor‘. Well finally they follow it up with another one – the video for which was released today. ‘Supergirl’.
The Majestee of Sweden collective, made up of songwriters, musicians, dancers, and a lead singer – Ina Forsberg – have turned in another enormously melodic pop track. A little bit more down beat than the funked up ‘Governor’, ‘Supergirl’ is a more melancholic song with a heartfelt message of goodwill, rather than a declaration of I-am-fierce-and-I-will-fuck-you-up——–bitch. Don’t let that comparison to its predecessor make you expect a bore-a-thon though. ‘Supergirl’ is still an instant and interesting pop gem with a brilliantly crafted melody – something which we think will end up a trait of Majestee of Sweden releases. Oddly, we prefer the verses to the chorus on this one, but both are ace.
The song has already shot to number 1 on Swedish iTunes, which is bloody good.
‘Supergirl’ is out now, and it’s been released outside of Sweden too.
