Oh dear. This is embarrassing. So, we’ve FINALLY ‘got’ Erik Hassle. About a year after every other pop music site on the internet had raved about him. So many websites that we visit that share our tastes and opinions on music tried to tell us that he was amazing, but we just didn’t listen. We completely ignored him. Readers of this very website emailed us asking us when we were going to write about him (he’s Scandinavian after all), but we still didn’t pay heed – we didn’t even respond to their emails, which is so unlike us!!!
It’s even got to the stage now, where he’s got a UK deal and is all ready to be released upon the British public – and up until last week this music still wasn’t even on our radar. Shameful.
Well it certainly is on our radar now! ‘Hurtful’ is absolutely, mind blowingly, phenomenally immense! It’s wonderful. Beautiful. Stunning. In every way. It’s perfect. And we haven’t been able to stop listening to it since we ‘’discovered’’ it last week. It’s really quite addictive isn’t it? Those opening sporadic beats, backing the verses which at first don’t seem to fit it, but actually form one part of a perfect vocal and music marriage. And then that chorus! Seriously awe inspiring stuff. But of course, you all already know that it’s amazing, because you discovered it last year. There’s probably not any point in us posting the video because you’ve all already seen it by now. But we feel we owe it to Erik!
