Finnish broadcaster YLE have already revealed the 7 artists who will be competing in Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu (UMK) 2023 – Finland’s Eurovision pre-selection which will take place on Saturday February 25th. The songs will be released one every day, for seven days, and today’s entry is is Robin Packalen – ‘Girls Like You’.
He’s been providing bops aplenty for some time now, most pleasingly on his two most recent EPs – ‘Rest In Beat AM‘ and ‘Rest In Beat PM‘. But he’s obviously been saving some good stuff for his first UMK participation, too. ‘Girls Like You’ sees him pair a luxurious disco production with a global-hit pop melody. And he seems so at home doing it, too. A ready-made Eurovision finalist right here.
