What’s this? Swedish artist Rhys is back with her first new music since 2018’s ‘Stages’ album. New single ‘Better Break My Heart’.
What’s it like? Marvellously catchy stuff. The kind of top-tier pop that we’d come to expect from Rhys, and we’re glad that eighteen months away hasn’t changed that.
What does Rhys say? “For the past two years, I’ve found that I love writing sarcastic songs. For ‘Better Break My Heart’, the songwriters and I had fun with that approach. Instead of writing a sad or happy song, it became a bit in between. Kinda “Ok, dump me if you want, I’ll probably feel shit for a long time. But it is cool, go hard”. All my songs nowadays are a bit like that. It’s a sense of humor for the lows in life, that I myself would want to hear.”
Written by? Rhys herself, along with Teo Runsiö, Tove Burman and Frans Torell.
