What’s this? It’s the second single from Swedish newcomer Maja Francis. And she’s roped in her good friend Veronica Maggio to feature on it. It’s called ‘Space Invades My Mind’, and it’s released tomorrow. Tonight though, the song premiered on P3 radio in Sweden, and so you can listen to it below.
What’s it like? It’s an incredible piece of synth pop. Utterly beautiful from the first verse onwards. And with a delightful “ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah….etc etc etc” chorus as the unassuming jewel in its crown. The three minute track is one of those moments where the precise structure of the song is played out in such a way that it sounds like actual magic. Brilliant!
Is there an album on the way? This is Sweden – there’s an EP on the way. And it’s been produced by Veronica Maggio too.
