An effortlessly catchy pop tune that cleverly uses the repetition of the lyric “you’re misunderstanding what I say” as a hook that ensures you will understand precisely what she says and that it will stay in your head long after the song has finished playing. And whether that was intentional or not – that’s pop genius, right there.
