What’s this? The brand new single from the new incarnation of the popstar Ola – Brother Leo. This is ‘Push Up’.
What does Brother Leo say? “It’s about letting loose on the dancefloor longing for a little intimacy in a sometimes lonely world… I was inspired by the groove and laid-back vibe of the 70’s soul music that mum always played during weekends.”
What does Scandipop say? Those who weren’t too convinced by his first single ‘Strangers On An Island‘ might well take ‘Push Up’ to their heart a lot easier. It’s much more instant, leans more towards the pop side of things, and has an irresistably kitsch production.
Written by? Brother Leo himself, along with Eyelar Mirzazadeh and Fred Gibson. Produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat and FRED.
You can find ‘Push Up’ on our Best New Pop playlist.
