*gasp* Released today – it’s a new single from Alcazar!
And what is it? A cover of Wham!’s 80s hit ‘Young Guns (Go For It)’.
What’s it like? Well let’s not pretend here – we’d ALL prefer to be hearing an Alcazar original song as their new single. But, in true Alcazar style, they’ve given the cover version of their choice an exceptionally discotastic makeover. For all intents and purposes – they’ve strapped on a mirror ball, and rammed it up an element of the song which hasn’t seen the light of day since 1983. With no complaints from anyone involved.
More to come from Alcazar? Well right now they’re riding on the success of a massive show in their native native Sweden. What started as a residency in Gothenburg, has been extended to one in Stockholm. So they’re pretty busy. But a video will be released for ‘Young Guns’ too.
