Regular readers of scandipop.co.uk will know that nothing warms the cockles of our heart more than the sight and sound of two or more geriatric schlager dears getting together and embarking on a bit of a sing-song for the cameras. It’s always an absolute lark!
And such a lark was had yesterday evening on SVT’s Moraeus Med Mera show, when Ann-Louise Hanson, Siw Malmkvist, and Lil Babs rocked up to dazzle viewers with some retro glitz. The three of them took to the stage together twice during the course of the evening, and set about performing a couple of old time greats, complete with plenty of hi-camp winking, finger pointing, and elbow nudging from the three of them. We really do live for EVENT television like this! Especially since we don’t remember Hanson and Malmkvist’s appearance at Stockholm Pride this year as we were too drunk by the time they went on stage. 🙁
Frankly however, we’re a smidgeon FUCKED OFF that it wasn’t Towa Carson on that stage with her fellow ‘C’est La Vie’ darlings, Hanson and Malmkvist. Shame on the producers if they in fact didn’t invite her – although of course who knows, she might have been invited but turned it down.
