Fresh Swedish pop duo RAW have got a new single coming out next week. Their second.
You should remember these girls from their previous single ‘U Sexy Wo-Ho‘. You really should. Although actually, there’s been a member change. Welcome new blonde Elin Nyblom, who takes pride of place in the line-up alongside founding member Celina Rydén.
Just like ‘U Sexy Wo-Ho’ before it, ‘Back To The 90s’ is similarly ridonkulous and mentalmazing. Although this one is a tad more 90s flavoured, as the title suggests. So it’s quite the acid trip. They’re sounding like a cross between Stockholm Syndrome and Icona Pop, and along with those two artists, hinting towards the very real notion that Swedish girl pop is in the midst of reinventing itself right now as the music misfit of the pop playground, that everyone should be listening to.
The single is released next Friday in Sweden, but the RAW girls are giving Scandipop readers a preview of it before then. Because they know we like this sort of thing.
