Busy weekend for Maria Mena and her ‘Fuck You’ single.
On Friday she premiered the music video, and on the same night she gave the first TV performance of the song – on Scandinavia’s biggest talk show Skavlan. The song has already been a hit in her native Norway, but after the talk show the Swedes also responded favourably – by taking ‘Fuck You’ to number 2 on iTunes.
The performance is entertaining, to say the least. Maria sat in her chair and delivering the song to her host and fellow guests, while accompanied by a piano. And so we get to see Jamie Oliver squirm in his seat as he’s serenaded with a harsh “fuck you-ou-ou-ou-ou“. She sounds bloody amazing while doing it though.
