Scandipop fave Tove Lo comes out with a new song this week – as the featured vocalist on the new single from Swedish producer Lucas Nord.
It’s ‘Run On Love’. And “we can run on love for a while” is such a good dancepop sentiment – especially when delivered with fraught passion from a competent female vocalist.
We’re liking Tove Lo more and more with each of her releases, and ACHING for the impending debut album. But of course dance music isn’t really going to come into that equation, so it’s great to hear her pop up within the genre anyway, as a featured vocalist on a release outside of her own work. She suits it. She should do it again.
With so much Swedish dance music around these days, it’s all becoming a bit hit and miss. But ‘Run On Love’ is definitely a hit.
The single is released tomorrow, but had its worldwide premiere last night on P3 radio in Sweden. And you can listen to it below. It starts just a few seconds into the stream (and is followed up by Icona Pop’s new single ‘Girlfriend’, for double the fun).
