Swedish Idol graduate (but the sort that probably doesn’t enjoy being referred to as that) Linnea Henriksson is back with her second single, after her splendid debut ‘Väldigt Kär/Obegripligt Ensam’.
It’s ‘Alice’. And it may take a couple of listens, but it’s a definite keeper. Once familiarised with its intricacies, it’s adorably pretty.
Now we don’t subscribe to the notion that every quirky lady who is singing in Swedish in 2012 should be likened to Veronica Maggio. However, if ever a case existed for these very comparisons, it is here in Linnea Henriksson’s ‘Alice’. If you have even an ounce of appreciation for Veronica Maggio’s recent musical output (in other words – if you’re half of Sweden), then you will most probably like this song.
