Here’s a fantastic song that came out a few weeks back, by Norwegian poplet Elisabeth Carew.
It’s a joyous dance track, brimming with positivity and a contagious feelgood factor. It’s just one of those instantly likable songs that somehow manages to transcend any need to explain what’s good about it. You listen to it, you ‘get’ it. Or you’re dead inside.
It actually doesn’t sound a million miles away from what fellow Norwegians Stargate have been producing for Alexis Jordan. So there you go.
The single hasn’t been getting much attention in Norway unfortunately (for reasons explained below), and there’s not really anything about it online, which is an enormous shame – as it’s amazing. So we asked Elisabeth if we could stream it on here for our readers, and she obliged!
Marvellous. Here it is in full;
[audio:https://www.scandipop.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/Elisabeth-Carew-The-Feeling.mp3|titles=Elisabeth Carew – The Feeling]‘The Feeling’ is in the sort of strange position of being overshadowed by another Elisabeth Carew release in Norway right now. She’s the vocalist on the track ‘Feelgood’ by A-Lee featuring Elisabeth Carew, which came out a month before ‘The Feeling’. And that’s gone on to become a big hit on Norwegian radio, so ‘The Feeling’ is finding it a little difficult to get a look in. And that’s a huge shame, because it is vastly superior to ‘Feelgood’. To these ears anyway.
At the moment ‘The Feeling’ is just out in Norway, but Elisabeth normally does go on to release her singles around the rest of the world at a later date, so an international release for it shouldn’t be too far off.
