Amanda Jenssen has got herself a Christmas single out. Although if you think she’s getting in on the festive spirit, think again. It’s a slightly darker themed track, ‘Christmas Fool’.
A misery anthem for the holidays, that opens with “welcome to my cage, I’ve got some presents for you. Might not be the puppy that you’d choose“. It’s a retro flavoured exercise in kitsch gloom, and we all know by now that Amanda Jenssen’s the master of that particular type of vocal delivery. What could depress, actually turns out to charm. And it’s a definite addition to your December playlist of Christmas tunes. Maybe put this one near the end though, yeah?
