What’s this? Zara Larsson has today released a Summer Edition of her recent ‘Poster Girl’ album.
Oh that was good. It was ph’nom! And you can check out our review of it here, if you missed it first time around.
So what’s on the Summer Edition? Six new tracks have been added on to the original form of the record.
Brand-new songs? Two brand-new tracks, an Alok remix of ‘Right Here’, orchestral versions of two of her biggest hits (‘Ruin My Life’ and ‘Never Forget You’), a live version of ‘I Need Love’ with First Aid Kit, and her mega-hit collab with Carola – ‘Säg Mig Var Du Står’.
The two new songs – what are they like? Well there’s ‘Morning’, which is an effortlessly fun dancehall number on which she sounds so much at home. And then there’s ‘Last Summer’ – which is a drum-beat driven synthpop bop in which we get to hear Zara reimagined as an ’80s popstar blasting out of a boombox soundtracking the memories of a collapsed summer fling. It’s obviously a new fave!

You can find ‘Last Summer’ on our Best New Synthpop playlist.
