Tove Styrke has been touring up and down Sweden for the last few months. All very well of course, but if you don’t live in Sweden, then that’s not much good to you, is it?!
Well thankfully Tove has stepped in and delivered something for all of those fans who weren’t able to catch her out on the road recently. She’s gone and uploaded one of her gigs, to youtube. It’s a five song set with a live band, an adoring crowd, and a hard working Tove who clearly isn’t afraid to work up a sweat for her art.
We’ve just watched the whole thing and enjoyed it immensely. Her album proved that she’s already a stellar recording artist, the TV promo slots we’ve seen hinted that she can ‘bring it’ live, and this show rams home the point in full, as if it still needed to – that Tove Styrke is without question, one of the best new artists to emerge from Sweden in recent years. It just begs the question now – just when will Sweden be exporting her? They can’t keep her for themselves forever!
SETLIST:

Chaos
Love You and Leave You
Bad Time For A Good Time
White Light Moment
On top of all of this, another Tove Styrke gem was uploaded to youtube today. It’s her starring in a new Ikea advert, whilst singing the soundtrack – her version of an ancient Scandinavian lullaby, ‘Byssan Lull’.
