Hilda Stenmalm continues her rightful transition to popstar this month, with the release of her new single, ‘Brief & Beautiful’.
After ‘Just One Wish‘ and ‘Come The Weekend‘, comes another mid-tempo Miley Cyrus-esque tune from the young poppet. It was composed by Hanne Sørvaag and Harry Sommerdahl and Hanne’s talent for crafting a super catchy ballad melody is all present and correct, as you would hope and expect!
It’s something a little bit more serious from the 15 year old songstress – both lyrically and musically. But only a little, thankfully – she’s still staying very much in the pop mould. It’s got a great sing-a-long chorus, and a pop country-esque production. Eagle eyed (or rather, eared!) Scandinavian pop fans will recognise that Norwegian singer Maria Arredondo recorded the song first, but Hilda’s version has a more beefed up production, and has been more tailored towards the singer’s pop roots.
And Hilda has given scandipop readers an exclusive listen to a preview of her single – how jolly nice of her!

Hopefully it won’t be too long before the girl with same management, record label, and Disney Sweden background as Eric Saade, has a taste of just some of his success!
