Swedish House Mafia are back with a brand new single, hoping to dominate dance floors and dance charts in 2011 like they did in 2010.
‘Save The World Tonight’ got its world premiere on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show this week, and you can listen to it below. At first few listens, it all sounds very POP doesn’t it?! Sort of like a Coldplay track which goes into Katy Perry’s ‘Firework’, which then merges into Britney Spears’ ‘Till The World Ends’. We’re sure the boys would HATE us if they ever wandered onto this website and read that description, but it’s what we’re hearing! Besides, it’s not a bad thing, we do really like it. It’s just lightyears away from what we thought a new Swedish House Mafia single would sound like. But a very large dose of kudos should go to them for not being afraid to embrace their more pop side. We imagine the more hardcore dance fans are going to be less pleased about this than we are.
The vocals are by fellow Swedish gentleman, John Martin.
