Despite the lack of UK chart success for ‘True Believer’, AATW are admirably persevering with Swedish dance gurus E-Type. They’re releasing ‘The Rain’ as the next single – complete with a testosterone inducing video that sees scantily clad girlies washing a car, and E-Type himself driving around in one. It’s a vast improvement on the video for ‘True Believer’ – one of those live concert recordings that are never very good. Despite its lack of a quality video though, ‘True Believer’ still received heavy rotation on Clubland TV, so hopefully ‘The Rain’ will gain the same treatment. Well, you’d hope so anyway, given that Clubland TV is owned by AATW!
And what of ‘The Rain’? Well it’s exactly how you’d expect an E-Type single to sound. Thankfully he prescribes to the philosophy of ‘’if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’’! So we’re treated to a bass heavy, fast paced trance number – combining his vocoder assisted spoken verses with chorus belted out by a lady with a set of commendably large lungs.
