The newest of the Swedish pop chaps Oscar Zia has this weekend premiered what will be his second single, the follow-up to ‘#Fail’. It’s ‘Without You’.
Yesterday morning he appeared on Swedish TV show Nyhetsmorgon to perform both singles with a live band. Obviously we’ll reserve full judgement until we hear the studio recording of the song, but from the sound of things, ‘Without You’ looks set to be a guitar pop tune in much the same vein as ‘#Fail’. Hugely melodic, and a little bit more up-tempo.
Having just finished in second place on Let’s Dance, Oscar’s got a busy summer ahead of him promoting both singles. He’ll be appearing on both Lotta På Liseberg and Sommarkrysset. One wonders when we’ll get an album from him. But our guess is an EP in the autumn, followed up by an extended album after his inevitable Melodifestivalen participation in March. That’s the way these things roll.
