Those genereous Alphabeaters! Today they’ve only gone and released a remix EP for totally free over on their website. Six splendid remixes of their most recent single ‘Love Sea’.
And yesterday they sent an email to their favourite music websites and blogs asking if we would like to feature the EP, by streaming a remix of our choice on the day of release. And yes, we would, as it’s really quite a very good EP.
But while most websites will probably have chosen to stream the mix from Sound of Arrows or perhaps FrankMusik, we’ve gone with our favourite of the bunch – the delightfully kitsch and quirky Android Orchestra – Tropical Remix. It’s bloody nuts! And amazing. It sort of does what it says on the tin, this one – it’s tropical flavoured. ‘Love Sea’ is suddenly transported from its original spot in a Spanish holiday resort, to a Caribbean island somewhere. We can feel ourselves getting our tan did while it plays out gloriously.
