Norwegian sometimes-singer and sometimes-rapper, Samsaya, has just put out a knockout of a new single. This time she has chosen to sing.
The song she has chosen to sing is ‘Apple’. Epic both in time (clocking in at over six minutes – and making up for her previous singing which was little over two minutes) and in mood. It’s an atmospheric piano ballad OF DOOM. We were hooked from the moment the piano melody made itself known. It’s a stark beauty. A little on the depressing side yes, but life isn’t all Linda Bengtzing and A*Teens unfortunately.

Samsaya has been going for an age, but it’s really only this year that we’d paid any attention to her, thanks to her ‘star turn’ on Bertine Zetlitz’s ‘Electric Feet’. Her subsequent single ‘Breaking Bad‘ was another fiercely enjoyable jaunt, so now we’re well and truly on board.
