Oh Måns! It’s been FAR too long since we saw this guy do his thing. This morning however, he dropped into the Nyhetsmorgon tv studio to perform two tracks from his new Christmas album, ‘Christmas With Friends’. The whole album is a traditional, swinging jazz, It’s A Wonderful Life style Christmas affair. An old fashioned big band album. And so he brought said big band along with him. Viewers were treated to his cover of ‘Winter Wonderland’, plus a brand new track, ‘December’, composed especially for the album. Both were utterly charming of course. And although we normally would never listen to this style of big band music, Christmas is the one time of the year it’s acceptable in our ears, so we loved it! And Måns really does sound great singing it. It’s all so warm!
One gripe though Måns – WHERE is the festive knit?! A simple suit and tie might normally cut it when singing big band music, but it’s Christmas! You’re singing ‘Winter Wonderland’! Where are the chunky cardigans? The snowflake patterned jumpers? Not even a ridiculously oversized scarf? A bobble hat?! We’re disappointed Måns! Disappointed.
