Icelandic darling of song, Yohanna, has just this week released a brand new Christmas single. ‘Coming Home’.

The nation’s sweetheart (well perhaps not any longer, since she now lives in Norway) became famous after finishing in second place for Iceland at the 2009 Eurovision Song Contest, with the phenomenal ‘Is It True’. Since then she’s come back with ‘Nött’ and its English language translation ‘Slow Down’, but other than that it’s been FAR too quiet on the Yohanna front for our liking.

Well ‘Coming Home’ is appeasement enough. For now anyway. It’s a ballad (naturally). Starting off slow and then building up so that she can release those legendary vox of hers towards the end. It’s got all of the warmth and glow that a Christmas ballad should exude. And if anyone can pull off a winter flavoured ballad, it was always going to be easy for Yohanna Of Iceland.

Here’s a listen to the 90 second preview which appears on iTunes. And below, you can listen to it in full on Spotify (it’s available in every territory that Spotify exists in).
