‘Hurtful’ by Erik Hassle was finally released in the UK on Sunday. And despite the online stratosphere’s love for it for the past eighteen months, it looks like the UK record buying public is largely indifferent to it. In today’s midweeks, it’s limped in at a lowly number 44, on sales of just 2,172. To put this into persepective, more people so far this week have decided to buy a song that has already been available for 20 years, ‘Fast Car’ by Tracy Chapman, instead of Erik’s ‘Hurtful’. Now that really is hurful!

Oh well, we might be clutching at straws here, but he IS only less than 1,000 units behind the song at number 30.
