What’s this? Swedish artist Zikai is out with the music video for the lead single from her recently released debut EP ‘Make You Mine’ – this is ‘Champagne For Breakfast’.
What’s the song like? A delightfully cheeky number about waking up the next day and your lover not being quite what they were last night when you’d both had your drink on. The solution? Champagne for breakfast!
What’s on the rest of the EP? The five songs she’s already released, all packed together for ease, along with two brand-new songs – ‘Mine’ plus the aforementioned ‘Champagne For Breakfast’.
What’s the EP’s big highlight? ‘Beach Day’ is our personal fave. A song we hammered last summer, and one which we fully intend on hammering all over again this summer.
What does Zikai say about the EP? “The songs come from love, my relationship to love, and my love for other people. That may not always be healthy, but you learn a lot about self-love. I’ve been in relationships as I wrote these songs, and love has been a big part of my life. I guess a bit too big for my own good!”
