This is gonna be quite something isn’t it? If you’ve heard the debut single from Finnish girl Saara, ‘Ur Cool‘, then you’ll know the video is going to be The Absolute Shit.
What happens in it? To put it simply, it’s for all intents and purposes an acid trip set in an American high school at some point in the early 90s. An explosion of mis-matched colour, dancing pizza slices, cheerleading bananas, and harajuku imagery. We almost ducked out at the fingernails transforming into Gameboy screens though. If the song is the sound of Cher Lloyd malfunctioning, the video is the sight of Nicki Minaj malfunctioning.
What else has Saara been up to? She’s been working with the writers of Måns Zelmerlöw’s ‘Heroes’ on songs for her debut album. This girl is getting it VERY right.
