VIDEO: María Ólafs – ‘Unbroken’

MariaOlafsVideo

Her Eurovision song? María Ólafs will represent Iceland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest with the song ‘Unbroken’, and over the weekend she released the video for it.
Have they altered the song at all since its selection? Some minor changes have been made to the arrangement. Just to spruce it up a bit. It’s still the same gorgeous ballad that Iceland fell in love with.
What happens in the video? There’s a lot of prancing around and looking beautiful. Parts of the video were filmed in an old cement factory in Akranes, West Iceland. Other scenes were filmed in Korpúlfsstaðir in Reykjavík, once the country’s largest dairy farm.
Will she be calling on any big names for help at Eurovision (such is the Icelandic way)? Yes! National final runner-up, Friðrik Dór, has joined the backing vocals team. Hera Björk (Iceland’s Eurovision entry in 2010) has also joined the delegation as a vocal coach and backing vocalist. And two times Icelandic Eurovision entry, Selma Björnsdóttir (1999 and 2005) will choreograph the act.
