What’s this? Måns Zelmerlöw returned to Sweden yesterday after his mammoth Eurovision win. And earlier this evening had a homecoming appearance organised in his honour, in his home town of Lund. SVT transmitted a live broadcast of it to the nation. Of course they did!
What happened? He received a hero’s welcome onto the stage, chatted to the host for a little while, and then performed his Eurovision winning song ‘Heroes’. You can watch the whole thing here.
What else has been happening since the win? The song has gone to number 1 on the iTunes chart of twenty countries. TWENTY! It reached number 4 in the UK.
Wow. Watch the winning reprise of the song again below. It totally deserves to be number 1 in twenty countries right now. And since his win, Sweden have overtaken the UK and now hold the record of having received the most points in Eurovision ever.
