What’s this? A brand new single from Norwegian singer and songwriter Ina Wroldsen. In collaboration with Brazilian producer Alox. This is ‘Favela’.
What does Ina say? “I really wanted to shout about the incredible women of Brazil with this song.” That’s a short quote, we know, but it makes a lot more sense in the context of the lyrics of the song which you’ll hear. Lyrically, it is to the incredible women of Brazil, what Clean Bandit’s ‘Rockabye’ (which Ina also wrote) was to the single mothers of the world.
Gotcha. And sonically, it has a lot more in common with ‘Rockabye’, and her own single ‘Strongest’, than it does to the four new songs on Ina’s recent ‘HEX’ EP.
And the video? A beautiful showcase of a beautiful country.
Written by? Ina herself, along with Edvard Erfjord. And Edvard produced it, along with Alok.
