One of 2011’s most exciting Swedish pop debutantes Vanbot had a fairly quiet 2012, in that she did nothing. But actually, unbeknownst to all of us, in that time she was actually crafting a brand new album. And today she presents the first succulent fruits of that hefty labour – new single and video ‘Hold This Moment’.
It’s not a million miles away from her previous output – thankfully. ‘Hold This Moment’ stays true to the electropop sound that she introduced herself with, but packs more of a sonic punch. The production is laced with layer upon layer of powerful intricacies. It’s delightfully danceable, and infectiously upbeat. Probably too early to say, but potentially the best thing she’s ever released. Now THAT’S how you launch a comeback!
