Catchy stuff coming out of Sweden this week. The debut single from TARA (yes she capitalises her own name. *swoon*) – ‘Manners’. Like a more pop orientated version of Elliphant. That’s good, right? Well this – THIS – is good.
At first it feels a bit “oh we’ve kinda heard all this before” but then Christ almighty that chorus makes its presence known. And wow. WOW. So yes – the chorus is undoubtedly the best thing about this gem. And really – when it comes to it – we’re all here for the chorus aren’t we? This one boasts a lyric that shouts “MANNERS – FUCK THE MANNERS”.
Oooh, in the case of ‘Manners’, also quite brilliant is its gibberish post-chorus. It definitely qualifies as MENTALMAZING.
