Sweden’s very own brand of marmite, Caroline Af Ugglas is back with a new album this week, ‘Vad Var Det Jag Sa’. And she’s popped into the Nyhetsmorgon studios to perform two tracks from it. ’Vill Kunna Säga Förlåt’ is an absolute beauty of a song. A really slow and downbeat track, much in the same vein as ‘Snälla Snälla’, but with an even stronger melody. It’s heartwrenchingly good! You really must have a listen if you were in the ‘Team Caroline’ camp for Melodifestivalen 2009! ‘Du Får Tycka Om Mig’ is a more upbeat affair. Normally this wouldn’t be our kind of thing at all, but Caroline does have a great knack for melodies and therefore we were able to listen to this, right through to the end, with great ease. We quite liked her last album, as a good bit of background music on your iPod whilst on a shopping trip, kind of thing. And both of these songs are enough for us to want to investigate this new album too.
