Finnish artist Titta has long been a go-to for us when we’re in dire need of some straight-up synthpop that puts an extra emphasis on the ‘pop’. But it’s been an age since we last heard from her. Well, she’s back with a blinder – her first release of 2023, new single ‘Onni Pitkästä Ilosta’. On it, she’s playing dress-up in ’80s iconography even more creatively than usual. And she sounds like she’s having a hell of a lot of fun doing it, too. Everything – from the joyous burst of an intro to the extra-cute ending – has been crafted with care.
