What’s this? The brand-new single from Swedish duo Strandels – ‘Breathe It In’.
What’s it like? Sounding in tone like the logical follow-up to previous single ‘Not My Party‘, ‘Breathe It In’ is another downbeat, melancholic and thought-provoking song that you can sit back and get lost in.
What do Strandels say? ”’Breathe It In’ is about being bad at just taking a moment to take things in and not really appreciating what you have at the time, and instead, always rushing forward. That you start to appreciate something when it’s over and that you then realise how great things were but you didn’t acknowledge it at the time. It could be from a relationship perspective but also general things in life. You overanalyse, overthink and see things from the wrong point of view instead of just breathing and taking it all in.”
Written by? The duo themselves, along with Johan Lindbrandt, who also produced it.
More from Strandels? The debut album arrives this spring.
