All hail Sophie Elise. The 20 year old Norwegian blogger delivered one of our favourite songs of 2014, when she unleashed her debut single ‘Lionheart’. Over the weekend she dropped the video for the follow-up single, ‘Love Like That’.
What’s it like? Nothing at all like ‘Lionheart’. Whereas that was a ridicumazing dancepop gem, ‘Love Like That’ is an atmospheric r&b ballad. The only thing it has in common with ‘Lionheart’ is that it’s got a killer melody. It’s a gorgeous listen.
Who’s the rapper dude? Hef Augusto aka Helfner from Norway’s favourite reality TV show Paradise Hotel. He also produced the song, along with Studio6.
More from Sophie? She’s promised an EP will be released later in the year. She’s doing quite well at this popstar lark, in fairness. ‘Lionheart’ was genuinely a hit in Norway last summer, and ‘Love Like That’ made it up to the upper echelons of the Spotify chart too within a couple of days.
