What’s this? Legendary Swedish songbird Sonja Aldén is out with a new single – her first since her Melodifestivalen 2020 highlight ‘Sluta Aldrig Gå’. She returns with ‘Sommaren För Längesedan’.
What’s it like? A positively rousing number that finds Sonja in a rare up-tempo flex! It’s got a classic Coldplay-esque production with heaps of piano, an uplifting melody, and a backing-vocal riff that’s impossible to unhear – not that you’d ever want to. Beautiful stuff from one of our fave vocalists.
What does Sonja say? “Right now, we all want light, freedom and summer, and that is exactly the feeling that this song invites in. I was filled with an incredibly beautiful energy when I heard the music for the first time and I now hope to be able to fill others with the same energy!”
