Oh that’s a name I’ve not heard in a while. And now Danish pop legend Rasmus Seebach is back with a brand-new single. His first in four years. ‘Så Længe Vi Danser’.
What’s it like? Up-tempo, celebratory synthpop about longing to be able to dance again. He’s injected an ’80s sound into it that stands out amongst the current crop of neon-influenced tunes by somehow having a certain authenticity to it. He did right by the decade.
What does Rasmus say?I’ve long waited for the sound of the ’80s to be HOT again. I’ve been inspired by some of my childhood heroes – Phil Collins, a-Ha, Roxette and oh yes – of course my dad too. On a dancefloor, a certain respite comes about that we all need at times. Especially after the last year and a half we’ve had. I have so much energy, and I’m looking forward to getting on the dancefloor with all of Denmark again.”
Written by? Rasmus himself, along with Andreas Martin Sommer and Lars Ankerstjerne.
