What’s this? Sweden’s Peg Parnevik is out with a brand-new single. Her fourth in 2020 – we love a productive popstar. This is ‘Never Know Your Name’.
What’s it like? A startlingly raw, honest and emotional ballad on which we get to hear a singer lay it all out on the table.
What does Peg say? “It feels super exciting to be able to show a new side of me as an artist, songwriter and person. I’m used to putting on a typical cocky pop artist character, so it feels both nervous and exciting to be able to show the more vulnerable side of myself with this song. It is definitely a step in a different direction. The song is co-produced and mixed by my friend and artist colleague Isa Tengblad, which I am extra proud of. There are not enough female producers out there, they deserve more attention and respect. Going forward, I want to include even more women in my team and ensure that all young women know that they can become exactly what they want.”
