What’s this? Maria Mena is back with a new single – the first time she’s written a whole song entirely in her native Norwegian. This is ‘Speil’.
What does that mean? ‘Mirror’.
What’s it like? It’s a dreamy pop tune that’s enormously uplifting – not just in its sound, but also via its lyrics as well. The song is about trying to see yourself as your friends see you – a more positive outlook on those days when your self-esteem is low. But there’s of course a lot to be enjoyed from the track even if you don’t understand Norwegian.
