Swedish artist Maria Marcus (whom some of you will know as one half of The Flights) has come out with a solo single this week. And as the title might suggest to you, it’s been inspired by two different sides to Europe that the continent has witnessed these last couple of weeks. In Maria’s own words: “The Icelandic nation really came together that day in June, at that special game and during very turbulent times in Europe… I admit I’m not a big soccer fan, but I’m a big fan of people who stand up for unity. So I did my thing… and wrote a song about it. We Are One“. And yes, it features the actual viking clap that charmed all of Europe!
