That name is familiar. Sweden’s Maria Hazell wowed us (and hopefully you too) with the release of her debut single ‘Say It Like You Mean It’ last March. Today she follows it up with brand new single ‘Killing All My Darlings’.
What’s it like? In a career trajectory we like our popstars to abide by, Maria Hazell’s new single turns out to be EVEN BETTER than her previous one! It’s a pop song with a Scandicool edge to it.
Best bit? That chorus is absolutely phenomenal. It’s bigger than our fucking house! And it’s a world class chorus too. In that, had ‘Killing All My Darlings’ been a big comeback single for any of the big US popstars – like Rihanna for example – then people would globally be losing their shit to it. As it stands though, it’s a Maria Hazell song. And we hope it helps her to become a little bit global herself.
Tell us something else about Maria. She’s just been signed to the same label as Zara Larsson, Icona Pop and Erik Hassle. So yeah – big things coming up we hope.
