It’s ‘Earthbound’, the debut single from Swedish DJ and production duo Catfight.
The genre is split in two. Veering from pop vocal to deep house to pop vocal again and then back to deep house. The aforementioned vocal comes with the slightest hint of rock attitude to it, thanks to the guitar accompaniment. And the deep house element is all very ‘TSUNAMI’. It’s a big ‘un, this ‘un.
Catfight are made up of Denise Lopez and Jennifer Love (formerly Jennifer Lopez – we guess she changed her name for obvious reasons). It’s not the first time the pair of them have worked together. Their previous incarnation back in 2011 and 2012 was as Swedish Angels, releasing two dancepop singles. So we know that they’re capable of producing a banger or two. And with Catfight and ‘Earthbound’, we’re delighted that they’ve started up doing it again.
