What’s this? Lili Päivärinta (yer one out of Lili & Susie, no less!) is out with a brand-new Christmas single and video. She’s done it in collaboration with and in promotion of her animal charity, Djurens Ö. And the whole thing is loosely based around the idea of helping those who can’t help themselves – especially our four-legged friends. This is ‘Heart To Heart’.
Is it a heart-warmer? Well yes, but not in a ballad sense – she’s gone all-out pop banger on us.
OMG is it basically ‘Snow Me Heaven’?! Amazing. But no, we’d say this has more in common with the Lili & Susie output of the eighties, if only because she has put a retro ’80 sheen onto the production.
Cool for yule. But also cheese-on for the season. It’s all you could want from a Christmas tune. If you have even an ounce of taste, that is.
