Norwegian artist Julie Bergan is back today with a bit of a Bomfunk-inspired banger. On her new single ‘Waste A Tear’ she samples that familiar intro riff from the Finnish ’90s hit ‘Freestyler’, building a whole new tune over the top of it. As she steers clear of using the more bombastic elements of the original, the influence it’s had on ‘Waste A Tear’ is subtle – but oh-so sublime.
