After scoring a semi-Global smash last year with ‘Arigato‘ (HEJ 62,000,000 Spotify streams!), Norwegian popstar Julie Bergan is back with the release of a new single. It’s ‘Blackout’. And if you liked its predecessor, then you’ll find a lot to love here. It’s a shouting, chanting, explosive and distorted pop song – that clocks in at a short two minutes and forty four seconds. A short blast. But a very memorable one. Over the weekend, Julie released a new, re-recorded version of ‘Blackout’ – a ballad, orchestral version of the song which is a bit (ok, a lot) of a stunner. Check out both versions below, as well as the music video of the song AND that time she performed a medley of both ‘Blackout’ and ‘Arigato’ at the Norwegian Spellemann Awards.
You can find ‘Blackout’ (original version) on our Best New Pop playlist.
