What’s this? New music from one of Sweden’s most underrated popstars-in-waiting, Julia Viktoria. This is her latest single ‘Complicated’.
What’s it like? A song that sounds like it’s having a hell of a lot of fun in revealing to you the imperfections it’s made peace with within itself. And it’s an infectiously carefree approach to such things – resulting in a very enjoyable listen.
What does Julia say? “Life is often complicated; in relation to others but also to yourself and your own feelings. It is easy to rethink, cancel dates and meetings, doubt yourself, doubt your own ability and send out mixed messages.”
Written by? Julia herself, along with Johannes Willinder.
More from Julia? Last year she released a fantastic EP called ‘Stranger‘, and earlier this year she diverted briefly to Swedish-language pop on the also very good ‘Galen‘.
